Hello and happy February!

We hope you are staying warm this winter as we enter the second month of the year. We are pleased to share that FAIRCO, carrier of PRMS’ Psychiatrists’ Program, has received an upgraded rating from A.M. Best to a Financial Strength Rating of A++ Superior. Also, we are excited to let you know about the following updates, which may be of interest to your members: February is a double donations month for PRMS’ Refer a Colleague program; the next Psych-cess webinar will be held March 1 on the topic of contract negotiation; and the latest Case of the Quarter resource highlights two very similar situations with different outcomes.

Refer a Colleague Double Donations
To show our gratitude and support for our clients, this February PRMS is proud to announce our first Refer a Colleague Double Donations month of 2023. For every referral PRMS receives between February 1 and 28, 2023, we will make a $100 donation – up $50 from our usual amount – to benefit the district branch or other mental healthcare organization of the referrer’s choice. Visit PRMS.com/Refer to learn more about the program and start earning donations for your organization today.

2023 Q1 Case of the Quarter

Attached please find PRMS’ latest “Case of the Quarter” column, which is a sample case study that highlights best practices in actual scenarios encountered through PRMS’ extensive experience in litigation and claims management. Current and past cases can also be found on our website here.

PRMS Psych-cess: Contract Negotiation

PRMS is excited to announce our first virtual event in 2023, PRMS Psych-cess: Contract Negotiation, which may be of interest to your resident, fellow, and early career psychiatrist members! Psych-cess will take place via Zoom on Wednesday, March 1, 6:30-7:30 pm ET and will feature health law attorney, Mary Jean Geroulo, Esquire, who will lead a discussion on contract negotiation for physicians and share more about her extensive career in healthcare litigation. Please feel free to share the attached flyer with your members, along with the registration link to sign up for free.

Thank you and we hope you have a wonderful February!
