Dartmouth-Hitchcock, a national leader in healthcare delivery innovation, is seeking faculty to join our growing Department of Psychiatry. The Department is a major provider of psychiatric care in Northern New England and provides research-supported services to individuals and their families across the region. As a component of Geisel School of Medicine, the Department is teaching the next generation of clinicians through a robust array of training programs in psychiatry and psychology, as well us fellowship programs in multiple psych-subspecialty areas. In addition, the Department is the site of cutting edge translational research, including externally funded research grants and contracts – supported through federal, state, foundation and industry sources.
 
We are currently seeking innovative clinicians for faculty opportunities in the following areas:

The Capital Area Intermediate Unit has an opening for a contracted, part-time, Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide professional consultation to our team of mental health professionals and/or treatment services to students attending our programs. Services would be provided at Hill Top Academy in Mechanicsburg, PA. We can be flexible with time commitment and options for virtual services. The Resource Center for Children, Youth and Families
Child Psychiatrist (4 hours/week)
CORA Services is a non-profit agency located in Northeast Philadelphia. CORA's mission is to assist youth, children, and families experiencing emotional, academic, and social challenges which impede their development and productivity.  CORA provides this assistance throughout the greater Philadelphia area.
We are currently seeking a Child Psychiatrist to work in our Clinical Services division.  The Child Psychiatrist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients (ages 5-21) with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. The Child Psychiatrist conducts thorough psychiatric evaluations, develops treatment plans, prescribes medication, and evaluates treatment.
Responsibilities include:
  • Uphold the mission, vision, and values of CORA Services, which includes creating an atmosphere of understanding and acceptance, valuing all individuals, and supporting the individual's potential for growth.
  • Evaluate patients by interviewing patient, family, and other persons; conducting physical examinations; observing behaviors; reviewing medical history and related documents; selecting, administering, and interpreting psychological tests; and ordering laboratory tests and evaluating results.
  • Develop treatment plans by determining nature and extent of cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral disorders and establishing treatment goals and methodologies.
  • Treat patients by utilizing psychotherapeutic methods and medications; discussing progress toward goals with patients; providing instructions; monitoring effect of medications; and supervising staff provision of services.
  • Collaborate with the Intensive Behavior Health Services (IBHS) team, physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress.
  • Analyze and evaluate patient data or test findings to diagnose nature or extent of mental disorder.
  • Adhere to Agency and regulatory entity guidelines concerning caseload requirements, service delivery, accountability, supervision and confidentiality.
  • Participate in all necessary Clinical Services Division functions and meetings.
  • Adhere to training requirements established by Agency or other regulatory entities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
This is a guaranteed 4 hours/week position.  Hours can increase in relation to caseload.
